HoloNet Audio now utilizes a combination of both human and A.I. voices in its fanfiction narrations. As a policy, we never fully use A.I. in all of our presentations. Similarly, we do not allow A.I. to be fully used to write fanfiction posted on this forum. We do allow A.I. to be used as a tool to assist in composing a fanfiction story, and to help put together a believable, entertaining, and meaningful audio production. Our human narrators are listed below:
About the Narrators:

Joe Mignano
Among the many hats that he wears, Joe "Lord Bruticus" Mignano has been a voice over artist and a familiar voice on multiple fan-produced podcasts in past years.
An avid fan of STAR WARS since he first saw it on-screen at the age of four in 1977, "The Brutal One," as he has become known, is also an accomplished storyteller. His narrations of STAR WARS fan-fiction stories garnered a following of STAR WARS fans over the years to his old podcast, Dark Empire Radio, which evolved into HoloNet Audio Dramas (HNAD). Joe's STAR TREK and STAR WARS fan audio work have since merged with HNAD to become HoloNet Audio.

Megan Niessink
Megan Niessink was raised on Star Wars and Star Trek, and when she found out that “Jedi” wasn't a real thing you could grow up to be, she figured that “actor” was as close as she would get. Graduating from USC (because that's where George Lucas went!) with one of her majors in Theater, Megan has dabbled in everything from stage to film to voice acting. In her free time, she volunteers with the Rebel Legion in her X-wing pilot costume at charity events. HoloNet Audio has been a perfect outlet for her combined love of fan fiction, radio dramas, sci-fi, and voice acting.

Henry Hammond
Henry Hammond is a Milwaukee area actor, singer and Star Wars enthusiast. As a trained opera singer he normally appears on stage, but has recently begun branching into voice acting and is thrilled to be collaborating with HoloNet Audio Dramas, thus satisfying his love for acting, doing voices, and Star Wars all at once.
About HoloNet Audio
HoloNet Audio is a collection of quality audio fanfiction from from STAR WARS and STAR TREK. And funny comedy sketches. All content is family-friendly, so there is bound to be something on our website for any Swarsie or Trekkie.
HoloNet Audio was first branded as HoloNet Audio Dramas in 2013, itself an offshoot of the old Dark Empire Radio podcast. With the creation of The Engineering Chronicles in 2021, all of Joe's STAR WARS and STAR TREK fan audio work was condensed and rebranded into a single podcast, HoloNet Audio. You can find all of our content in one single podcast feed on YouTube or your favorite podcast provider (as "HoloNet Audio").
Also, you can find separate playlists of our audio fanfiction (or "audiofics") right here on this website, or SoundCloud or YouTube.
Set to music with occasional sound effects and presented in an audiobook format, the stories on this website are sure to entertain any STAR WARS or STAR TREK fan. Fans have the ability to publish their own fanfiction on this forum, and even submit their short stories for audio production (rules apply). All content produced by HoloNet Audio is sound edited by Joe Mignano.
HoloNet Audio, with the creation of its accompanying forum in 2025, has become more than just a fanfiction podcast. We are also a fanfiction writing club! Members of our forum can publish their STAR WARS or STAR TREK fanfiction and also submit a short fanfic (3,000 words or less) for production on the podcast.
The FANFIC (Fan Fiction Initiative for Charity) project is an outreach project that members of our forum can participate in. It is discussed in the hidden Members Only section of the forum (must be logged in to view and post there). The purpose of the FANFIC charity project is twofold:
- To entertain other fans of STAR WARS and STAR TREK and inspire them.
- To reach out to blind fans and encourage them.
HoloNet Audio is a STAR WARS and STAR TREK fanfiction podcast and fan group, dedicated to presenting family-friendly content, both written and narrated, to visually impaired fans, and fandom at large.
