The Holonet (the section on our forum that features our STAR WARS fan content), and the Holodeck (the section on our forum that features our STAR TREK fan content) have been changed.

All boards in both categories now redirect to their corresponding playlist on YouTube.  All except for Dark Empire Radio, which now redirects to a special page on this forum.

This has been done intentionally, for two reasons. 

1 - In case anything ever happens to Weebly (the website service that currently hosts our main website), then the holonetaudio.com url will redirect to this forum.  Currrently, the main url for our website is https://holonetaudio.weebly.com  Weebly was acquired by Square back in 2018, and they have not added any features, nor have they maintained it well, as Square is more interested in getting people to use their own website builder service. Should they decide to remove Weebly altogether, we will use this forum as our main website (with an added home page before the forum itself loads).

2 - I use SoundCloud to host our actual podcast, and pay for it annually. Should anything ever happen to me (let's face it, I had a minor heart attack a few years ago, I'm middle-aged, and life is uncertain anyway  ),  then all content with SoundCloud will obviously no longer be available once they are no longer being paid. Our content on YouTube, however, should still be preserved, even if we no longer add any new material. 

At least this way, this forum should still be active (using the holonetaudio.createaforum.com URL. I have the holonetaudio.com URL active until 2031, and will renew it in five year increments.).

So in short, the redirects in the Holonet and the Holodeck have been done to preserve our content, assuming that "createaforum," our forum hosting service, remains operational.  In either case, however, Holonet Audio can easily be found on YouTube.

The General Discussion area has also been amended to include discussion about HoloNet Audio, aside from announcements (like this one). This was pretty much happening on there anyway.

So, we can now use this forum as a place to not only listen to HoloNet Audio content, but we can now also focus more on the originally-intended aspect of this forum, which is to give folks a place to post their fanfiction, and even submit their work for audio production (within guidelines). Of course, the General Discussion area and Off Topic area will remain as-is, for friendly fandom chatter.    The Arcade and Chatroom will never go away! 

If you want to post images on the forum, I recommend using Post Images.

Use the "direct link" once it is uploaded. I also recommend resizing it to 640x480 for message boards (Post Images should give you an option to).
